Causses Cévennes

The Cévennes is a country of granite and schist located on the southern part of the Massif Central, on the Mediterranean side, between the sources of Ardeche and Herault.
Nature is beautiful and rebellious, ferocious and generous at the same time. Its landscape has completely been redesigned by the hand of the man who created bancels or faysses, (translation: terraces built for the cultivation of grapes, mulberries and cereals). The local habitat is sometimes built with schist, sometimes with granite, covered with slate stones, and confound perfectly in the environment.
