Le Domaine de Bruès is situated in the commune St. Etienne Vallée Française at 1,5 km from the village, a: 10 minutes walk, 5 minutes by car. The 700 m agreable, unmetalled road , partly overshadowed leads you through 40 hectare forest to the farmhouse were poultry and rabbits live in liberty and little horses graze in the surrounding meadow.

The authentical farmhouse exists of three different buildings , a main house, a so-called "clède" (to dry chestnuts) and a magnanerie (building especially for silkworm keeping).

The main house is divided in 3 comfortable rentals with terrace or courtyard and garden-furniture :
Les Châtaigniers for 2/3 persons.
La Glycine for 3/4 persons.
Les Cerisiers for 5/6 persons.

Saint Etienne Vallée Française is the main village of the "Vallée Française".
It's name's origin :
The valley was possession of the Francs in the middle of the Wisigoth's territory.

The first "Capétien" kingdom settled down in 1233, meanwhile the neighbouring valleys still were property of the count of Toulouse.

Of Cevenol origin, Véronique lives in her region, like her family; her mother proposes typical cevenol cuisine in her inn-farmhouse were she's born.
Her specialities are : trout with bacon(truite au lard) and chicken prepared traditionally (poule à l'ancienne). She's an exceptional person in a ditto setting.
