SPORT & ACTIVITIES

Live "Le PAYS DE MEYRUEIS"
The big open spaces of the causse, the vertiginous canyons of the Gorges and the lovely meadows of the Mont-Aigoual and everything in between are ideal places for outdoor sport, or simply teaking breath in unspoilt nature.

WALKING / HIKING :
A lot of clearly marked poothpaths criss-crosses the region, offering a lot of different very special surroundings and belvederes (Tour du Méjean, sentiers des Corniches)
Plus the grand randonnées : the GR 6 - GR 60 -GR 66, will make it a pleasure to discover the region by foot.
Topoguides available at the OTSI and in the villages.

SPELEOLOGY : The numerous caves and grottos in this region permits and endless discovery.
The variety of choice in this subterranean world makes it accesible to every-one.
CANYONING : The Gorges du Tapoul , the Orgon falls and the Massif of the mont Aigoual lodges splendid sites to practice these sport.

CANOEING Canoeing in the Gorges is possible from the month of April up to October.
During this period the rivers are accessible and allow you to make different canoe-trips with "Ratchs" (Rapidss) and clean clear water.
Depending on the stretch they can be canoed by debutantes as well as by more experienced canoers

MOUNTAIN BIKE and CYCLING

IIn the Lozère you will find hundreds of kilometers of mountainbike-tracks and more easy cycling-tracks.

There are day tour tracks as well as tracks over several days, the mustbeing here is the descent(and climbung up) of the Mont Aigoual.

HORSERIDING:

The so-called "Drailhes" (former sheep-transfer route) and other beatiful paths are forming a real network for several horse-riding days for experiend riders.
Off course also stretches of 1 hour to a whole day are passing through very attractif sites.

AQUATIC SPORTS
Rafting, Hydrospeed aquatic hiking becomes more and more known and loved.
CLIMBING: The Site of the Gorges de la Jonte offers decades of arranged stretches of different prowess in mighty beautiful spots.

DELTA WING:
Chanet Center in the middle of the Causse Méjean, proposes different formulas for initiating, practising or perfectionating this activity.
