Les Salides is a little hamlet located in the mediterranean part of the Cevennes with exceptional view at 800 m altitude.
It lies at  34 km distance of Florac (Lozère) and at 10km of Saint André de Valborgne 
(Gard) near the Cevennes  National Park.

In this cuty little hamlet you're not aloud to drive a car, but you can reach the parking by foot at about 150 m.

So calm and birds songs are ensured permantly !



It's in these "Cevennes of the Cevennes" we offer at your disposal a roomy house for  6 people, equipped with  2 terraces (initially "bancels"- terraces) with an impressionating view on the unspoilt valley.


As well in the morning as in the evening, before or after an excursion or a bathe in the Gardon river ( at 7  km), here nothing disturbs to appreciate a well deserved rest .

The house is renovated with good taste and simplicity ; arranged and decorated in a very convivial way, she has 3 levels and a lot of room to move freely.

Groundfloor :
 A very roomy living room (about 40m2), with open fire place, 
furnished comfortably : settee, armchairs, 2 tables + chairs

A big totally equipped kitchen : comprenant refrigerator, gascooker, toaster, 
coffee machine, terra cotta pan, complete plates and dishes, table + chairs

1st floor :
Two bedrooms with in each 1 bed of 140 x 90 + feather bed + pillows, and a cupboard and some other furniture – Each bedroom is equipped with a private badroom (bath + WC).
The entrance of these 2 bedrooms is by an exterior stairs each.




Garden-floor
•A bedroom with 2 beds of 90cm 140 x 90 + feather bed + pillows, + commode. These bedroom has a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
•A wash-house with wahing machine.
•The entrances to the bedrooms are independent (1 on the groundfloor and 2 exterior on the first floor).

Outside :
 •2 terraces , of one with beatiful 
   valley view 
•Barbecue

Pedestrian excursions : 
Mont Aigoual, Air de Côte, Col Salides, Corniche des Cévennes and other hiking paths in the "Parc National des Cévennes "(off le Col Salidès at 4 km of les Salides)

Swimming :
 At 7km in the river, close to  Saint André de Valborgne, nice path, very well to walk off the house, crossing chestnut orchards.

Jumping in the river –nice if you like it, 
others prefer swimming, there is even place for a rubber boat !


Circuits bicycle and mountainbike : "Good legs needed… it climbs and goes down a lot ! " Nice tracks tested by ourselves are available in the house.

• Tennis, "petanque" (jeux de boules)
• Hiking circuits (petites randonnées) (col de l’exil, l’escale, …)
    departure in St André de Valborgne or Saumane
• Fishing in the river (1st category off March till September)
• Walks with donkeys for package - off le Plantiers
• Circuits of Romance churches, fountains…
• Visit of  the meteorological observatory at the Mont Aigoual

• La corniche des Cévennes connecting Florac to St Jean du Gard
