Le mas de la Taillade is an rural equipped holiday cottage at an altitude about 350 m, at the heart of the Cevennes, on 40 ha of land, essentially chestnut wood.

The cottage is situated in nature far away of urban noices.
This exceptional environment promises calm and tranquillity.

It's access path of 2 km is unhardened the first 500 meter.

This renovated ancient farmhouse lies at 7 km from the little village Saint Etienne Vallée Française and at 9 km of Saint Jean du Gard; (markets, all trade and services, museums, steamtrain, leisures, docter, drogery, touristoffice..

Mas de la Taillade - at the red point

The cottage of 75 m2, is a restored former magnanery, the silkwormpart of a farmhouse, consisting off :
- a living of 45 m2 with fireplace, television, (TNT), 2armchairs,
coffee table, open kitchen-corner and a sofa-bed for 2 people.
- two bedrooms, one with a double bed of 160 cm ;
the other with a double bed of 140 cm plus 1 bed of 90 cm
- a bathroom with sink, hairdryer, shower and washing machine
- a WC.

Equipment
The equiped kitchen understands complete kitchen ustensils and crockery, an electric coffeemachine, a hood, a refrigerator, an electric furnace, a micro-wave, a dishwasher, a gaz-cooker and numerous accessories (blender, mixer, pressurecooker)..

The outside
A terrace of 20 m2 is contiguous to the lodging.
The surrounding space makes it possible to benefit from the shade of the chestnut trees. (barbecue, meal in openair, calm) ; parking is easy and safe.

Nowadays the farm tent a revival with sheepbreeding and the courage of a young Cevenol, our son with his girlfriend, the only inhabitants on the spot.

Mas de la Taillade knew to keep its agricultural character with a production satisfying the family needs.

History
The farm which accomodates you is a typical Cevennes farmhouse. During many generations, the economic activity was the production of fruit and vegetables, manufacturing of pélardons (little goatcheeses) and silkworm-breeding.

Le gite est au dernier étage d’une maison en comportant deux. Compte tenu de la pente les trois niveaux sont des rez de chaussée. L’entrée du gite et sa terrasse sont indépendants de l’habitation existante située au dessous.

The mountains, the seaside
Of Mas de la Taillade it takes two hours by car to visit the Mont Lozère and the Mont Aigoual and 1 and a half hour to dip in the Mediterranean.
The region offers numerous curiosities ( various caves, Le Pont du Gard, the Gallo-Romans vestiges of Nîmes, etc..)

The gardon
Situated at 2 kilomètres, the Gardon river is an appreciable attraction for swimming and fishing.

Shops and services all kind ( like bakery, grocery,doctors pharmacists and restaurants) are available in St Etienne Vallée Française and in St Jean du Gard.

	Access Mas de la Taillade The intersection at the CD 983 road to Mas de La Taillade is situated at 7 km of St Jean du Gard and at 5 km off St Etienne Vallée Française. A sign La Taillade, les Poussiels and Gite. the indicates and the direction to take at this intersection. The pictures might give an idea of the geographical situation. The "mas" lies 40 km of Ales - railway-station, and at 80 km of Nîmes : TGV-station.
